Spoonbill
Went early to Sweetwater Wetlands Park this morning. I was hoping to see the wild horses and their little colt. I did see and got some decent shots of them but decided to blip this Roseate Spoonbill instead. Spoonbills usually hang around in pairs or small groups, but it was the only one I saw. When I took a closer look on a larger screen, I noticed that the tips of its wing feathers were a bit ragged and worn. I wondered if it had flown a long way or perhaps is just an elder. I'm sure it has a story to tell. Since I'm fresh out of *extras*, I'll blip the Wild Horses next year! Wishing All of You a Safe New Year's Eve. I hope that you get to spend it with someone you love. I will. :)
