Hogmanay 2017

Little known fact (aye, right) - MrP’s eager sidekick had secured tickets to the world famous Beeb Hogmanay show. Honestly, fifteen thousand folk applied - and only a few hundred goat tickets to see Ms Bird et al. That was enough to make us realise we had to go. Bugger any worries about it not being much cop. Rarity value - that’s what drives up your assets, right?
And it was great fun, even queuing in the rain. Och there were rehearsals, there was some pipe group - the Scott Wood band, KT Tunstall, plus "firm favourites Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain." Indeed. And some young guy called Callum Beattie. Here’s Aly in typical crowd pleasing mode awaiting the count down to the live show.
So that’s 2017 oot the way; we’ve had some amazing times, and seen some terrific sights, but we also lost DW’s old man.
We sat chatting about 2017 in Gandolfi and what we hoped 2018 might bring. I think I feel a list coming on.
