Abandoned

New Years Day.....sun shining, temperatures in the low 20's.....we went off for a walk across Caroline Bay, over the cliffs, around the park and back along the beach again.  By this time there were many families setting up picnics, some swimmers, boogie borders....summer fun activities.  
And I took a number of pictures, but for whatever reason I've gone for this more derelict/industrial/abandoned/gritty shot which I took out the car window on the way to the supermarket.

Supermarket on 1st January was almost empty, what a joy ! 
The little people arrive tomorrow, and as one is celiac (serious gluten intolerant} the shopping needed time to find then read the packaging. 
They are flying down from Wellington leaving their parents to go to work.  Some fun times for us all.  

I am thinking I will be quiet on the blipping front.

Bed beckons.
