Lorikeet enjoying the nectar of Banksia flowers...

Apparently there are 150 varieties of Banksia. The flowers are such interesting shapes, and different colours, mostly yellow, orange and red. They eventually turn into the attractive cones, which people collect and carve and make things out of. The birds just love them!
