Life on the Good Intent

A Venue

This week's challenge is drive. I think work has taken all my drive. After making disparaging comments about petrol heads and computer nerds I have driven myself into a creative corner. A day of constant rain didn't help, neither did a day of sanding and painting.
The rain stopped and a beautiful light developed late afternoon. I jumped in the shower and then the car and drove to a local hotel/wedding venue that has a nice tree lined avenue leading up to it.
I took some sunset sky shots over the golf course but the light was uninspiring on the trees on the drive - so I went to the supermarket planning to come back at dusk.
On my return
I drove round the hotel enjoying the crunch of gravel under my wheels and got out to look for a shot. Some of the well dressed guests had come out for air/ a smoke and I suddenly felt like Cinderella, realising that my face was red and shiny where I had scrubbed off my paint freckles and my hair straggly and damp, my attire of sweatshirt and jogging pants didn't enhance my image. So I got back in the car and drove off.
Note to the venue, some lights at the edge of their drive would make the drive more romantic and would have made a better blip for me.
