A pretty quiet day today. Neither of us slept particularly well after our indulgent dinner with wine yesterday. So today, we just concentrated on seeing parts of the city that we had previously missed. This meant, much to my surprise, that Mr A suggested crossing one of the bamboo bridges, walking through what they call the "Rive Droite" area (which is actually practically rural, with a mix of large houses and some squalour) and then back over the other bamboo bridge. The first bridge was quite secure and walking across felt safe. The same cannot be said for the one over which we returned, pictured here.
Other than that, there was a modicum of retail therapy, some eating and drinking (often involving returning to the same social or eco enterprises we've patronised before) and of course a swim. There's a swim every day in our remarkably chilly swimming pool.
Our time in Luang Prabang is drawing to a close, but we have one more wee adventure tomorrow.
