Happy New Year!

This was my first photo of 2018, taken literally as Big Ben was striking midnight, and both Anne and I were in our PJ's!

We had a lazy morning and at lunch time we went round to meet Elif & Seyran in her shop.  It wasn’t open, but they’re going on holiday tomorrow and I’m manning the shop for her next Saturday, so I needed to be shown the ropes.  Alan also helped Seyran to try and get the CCTV Cameras working.

Elif was supposed to be dropping Coco off with her friend who had said she would look after her while they’re away, but when Elif sent her a text to arrange a time, the said friend announced that she couldn’t have her now!  Elif was rather stressed as you can imagine so we said that Coco could come and stay with us.  Anyway, another of her friends has also offered to have her, so she’s with us until Wednesday.

Just before 4pm I set out to the windmill in Rottingdean with both cameras and Alan’s tripod to try and get some shots of the moon and the sunset.  The sunset didn’t amount to much unfortunately, and although I got some clear shots of the moon, I couldn’t get the perspective I wanted.  I took two comparable shots of the sunset though with each camera, an the new one which was handheld, is far clearer than the Canon which was on the tripod, so I look forward to getting my telephoto lens and using that with the tripod.

Anyway I’ve got a joint of beef which is almost ready, and tonight I’m going to watch Victoria which is on record.

Happy new year once again, I hope you’ve had a lovely start to 2018.
