This is our challenge this week-culture. So in Scottish culture many folk have steak pie on New Years Day. I had it as a child and we have continued this tradition to this day.
It was delicious, served with mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage.
G and I took the dogs to the beach today (E was sleeping a late night/early morning off!!)and had an exciting walk as the tide was coming in . After some scrambling up the dunes we made it! Another bit of culture in Scotland is to say Happy New Year to folk you meet, even strangers. Many people exchanged this greeting this morning on the beach. Proud to be Scottish.
