Warningore Bostal

A long wet and muddy walk with the spaniel from Plumpton up and over Black Cap and the South Downs towards Falmer returning via Ashcombe Bottom and the Warningore Bostal. The bostal is one of the ancient and very steep tracks that lead from the Downs onto the Weald. The combination of rain, slippery clay and exposed smooth wet chalk made the descent particularly nasty.
