Skating on the pond...

...on Wooler Common. Still a thick layer of ice over most of the pond when I joined MrM and Louie on their walk this morning. Several red squirrels on the feeders and in the trees.

A day of tidying and admin. - amazing how much has built up over the holiday period! Then another walk with MrM and Louie, this time by one of the lakes at Branton. Very few birds on the water, but there was a large flock of lapwings flying in the air over the lakes. Had a pootle around the antiques centre at Hedgeley while we were out - several nice pieces but, hey ho, beyond our budget. No harm in looking, though!
