Day 001 Properly Winter

It is only when the local store is closed for New Year's day that you can see the silver birch silhouetted against the winter twilight sky. A reminder that parts of Britain are in Northern Europe, not a rampant  concrete jungle.

.. and it is a good time to curl up in front of a log fire and watch DVDs received for Christmas.  Happy New Year
