The no. 1 Unaffiliated Team: Greenwich Parkrunners

After a trot round the Petts Wood 10k run we were relaxing over a cup of cup of coffee, when they started announcing the winners. Of course we took no notice, but towards the end they mentioned our group - and yes we had won a wonderful trophy and four bottles of wine! I don't think any of us had ever won anything in a running competition (and this was Mrs Soup's first 10k). So we all felt a lot better.

We wouldn't have done so well without Linda's excellent training programme - thanks Linda. And thanks to the Petts Wood Runners for such a very well organised run - interesting, challenging, fun - and with samosas and a gorilla at the end - what more could you want from a morning out?
