Lily of the Incas

Our door is always open and it is usually a busy one at this time of year.  Family and friends regularly call in to catch up before we all head back into the daily grind of work and school routines.  The coffee machine seldom is turned off and the conversation can range from politics to reading Hairy Maclary and every tangent between.  

Today's visit came with a added bonus - two bunches of alstroemeria that opened their blooms in all their colour as soon as their stalks were in fresh water.
