A grand day out

Beautiful day today so hubby and I headed down the south end of the island to Armadale Castle Gardens in Sleat. The south of the island is more sheltered than the north and the gardens are beautiful, especially at this time of the year with all the autumn colours.

Having spent a lovely couple of hours just walking around the gardens we headed off to a lovely little cafe down at Armadale Pier where we had a lovely lunch. After lunch we (or rather I) spent a happy half hour browsing a couple of the craft shops and then back up the road to home.

It is always lovely to take a bit of time out from the weekend chores :)

If you are ever on Skye then the gardens at Armadale are always worth a visit.
