Kites at the coast

We had a really good time at the ceilidh last evening.  The Strathaven Hotel does this each Jan 2, and there are always a lot of visitors to the hotel as well as we stalwarts.  The band always plays to the dancers' wishes, and as there were a lot of country dancers there we had a lot of country dancing.  There were quite a few children and young people there who really enjoyed it and we were able to help them with the country dancers when they wanted to have a go.   It was great fun, a super band and very happy people.

Today we wanted a walk at the coast, but when we got there it was lashing with rain.... so we revised and went for coffee instead!  After coffee I saw the kites, and although it was still lashing decided to try to get a blip.  Not the best photo I have ever taken, but it was the only one!!!!

Took down the Christmas Tree this morning, and will take all the decorations down after dinner.  Then we will be back to normal, whatever that is!
