Wired Wednesday

Do other people have baskets and boxes like this? Things that you feel you ought to keep in case they come in useful, and are normally never used.  Ann came across this box of wires and asked the question, I said I'd take a look.  After all in these days of cordless phones you never know when a 10metre phone extension wire will come in handy (it was probably bought in the days of dial-up Internet).  Non standard phone chargers, metres of network cable, all useful stuff!  I actually have a larger box of similar stuff in the shed, but that is out of sight.

We were going to go to Brandon Marsh, the Warwickshire Wildlife nature reserve, this morning for a guided walk but the storm force gales dissuaded us, especially with news of falling trees, we'll try next week as they are run weekly.

Instead we went to Nero to use our gift card we received for Christmas.  After coffee, we popped into CeX to recycle Ann's old phone, I bought her a new one for Christmas. They offered a fair price considering the age of the phone.

This afternoon I made a carrot and leek soup for tea.
