First Snowdrops

A poor night's sleep thanks to the dreadful wind and rain outside but some lovely sunny spells to make up for it :-)

.........we have our recycling bin emptied early in the morning so everyone puts them out the night before and last night lots of them were blown over strewing the contents all along the high street...........the word went out on the village Facebook page and several villagers turned out early in the morning to clear up rubbish that wasn't theirs before the bins were emptied. I'm not a big fan of social media in general but since this group was started a much stronger sense of community has developed and it has saved my bacon a couple of times with notifications of road closures due to accidents or fallen trees, thus allowing me to leave earlier and take an alternative route.........so it certainly has it's uses :-))
