New Year - new start

For those who know what my desk is usually like this will be a revelation. The piles of papers have been sorted - not quite yet filed but progress is being made.

Parts of the desk have seen light for the first time in years. The challenge will be to keep it like that.

The day did not get off to a great start as one of the team was at the receiving end of comments from a member of the public who was emotionally fired up ahead of a meeting. We answered the questions posed but brought the phone call to an end once we’d done so as some of the comments made were powerfully distasteful.

Thereafter the day was quiet and we all got on with clearing the intray - or in my case, the desk.
