Light and dark

These green shoots reaching for light in the midst of a dark winter struck a particularly poignant chord today. Feeling very sad at the tragic news last night of a young colleague gone much too soon, a talented young man doing well in his chosen career and showing such promise for a great future, and whose gentle warmth of personality touched everyone who knew him. Why, oh why?
