This site has been such an eyesore. At last good news, the Belvedere is being demolished and flats and the Malmaison will soon (hopefully) follow.

Feel for sorry the once grand houses at the back, their sun and light taken away by new high rise developments all around. So good and bad news.

And with the central roads gridlocked in peak season, and our local surgery already unable to provide appointments for as much as 3 weeks, how will we cope this huge influx of visitors, residents and students?

“The former Belvedere Hotel has been derelict for two years. It was being used by rough sleepers until June last year, when it caught fire”
