The Secret Weapon
I had decided yesterday that I would go out this morning to find a blip - I headed to Weston Turville Reservoir where I was sure I could find something to photograph - just to help I took something with me that was invaluable. When I got there I was glad that I'd put my jumper on underneath my fleece as there was an icy cold wind blowing across the lake. There wasn't much activity on the lake but then I saw two cygnets who headed my way. It was then that I unleashed my secret weapon - a slice of white bread. There was a huge squabble to get the bread 1st but they missed Phase II (another slice of bread) which flew over their heads. These chaps were soon there as if by magic. They didn't hold back and were squabbling & fighting for 1st dibs on bread slice II. I managed to fire off quite a number of shots before it was gone & so were they ! The swans drifted off & all was quiet in the world again...there are a couple in the extras...
I stopped and talked to couple of gents who were looking for 3 more cygnets which had disappeared as had their parents...
Back into the village to post a letter & then on to the Co-op to get some milk etc. Then collected my prescription before returning home for something warm....
A few indoor jobs this afternoon me thinks
