All about Venice

Thanks to a recent recommendation I discovered the books of Donna Leon. A series of novels set in Venice about a Commissario in the Venice police force. No car chases, just the occasional ride on a police launch or a vaporetto, otherwise the police are limited to walking from place to place. The pace of life in Venice is restricted to the the pace of the slowest walking tour.

In view of the recent jewel robbery at the Doge's Palace, the police could do with the assistance of Donna Leon's leading character "Commissario Guido Brunetti".

I had to resort to an indoor Blip today. Too much rain for a walk around town or for a walk in the park.
