A gem that we've......

......just discovered and that's the Somerset County Museum. We've been a couple of times to see art exhibitions. Today we returned to see the portrait of Henry XVll which is reputed to be the oldest portrait of a monarch. Painted in the 1500's by an unknown Dutch artist. Really very beautiful.

I love stone work & just caught sight of the stone lady.....didn't quite catch all the info but did see that when it was discovered in Crewkerne it was marking a cat's grave.

The Museum is lot more interesting than I thought it'd be. We also saw the Hans Schwarz painting again. Very interesting, he lived near us in Stogursey for a while. Lovely portraits.
