Little Christmas and a birthday

A number of us ladies that lunch went out for "Little Christmas ", a tradition started in Ireland where the ladies have decided they won't be cooking or washing up and go out together for a meal, leaving the men at home to fend for themselves.

One of our ladies was also celebrating a "big" birthday and we surprised her not only with a cake, but also with the appearance of her daughter who had travelled up especially. It was a joy to see them laughing and chatting so much. The friendship between them was tangible!
