It's a windy day............

and it's hard for a royal spoonbill to control those head feathers!

It was blowing an absolute gale, and I had trouble holding the camera still. Plus I can only use live view. So I had the articulated screen sticking out the side, couldn't really even see what I was focussing on - but amazingly the photos seemed by and large to be sharper than usual. Very weird. I was determined to take a bird shot today, because I haven't for ages with the faulty camera - I was quite prepared for them all to be "deletes" but no, several were good enough to keep. Very unexpected, but excellent.
