Aerial reflections

We have spent the last couple of days in the Flinders Ranges which is the furthest north we have been. We finally saw LOTS of kangaroos (including right by our tent) as well as lots of emus, some lizards, eagles and lots of parrots / Aussie magpies / ravens.

Part of the visit was a 7am flight over Wilpena Pound, an amazing geological formation in the middle of the ranges. This picture was taken on the plane. I had better ones, but I love the reflection of the dial in this one. Suffice to say, the view was amazing, we could see west to salt lakes and desert and north and east to more ranges. Absolutely amazing!

We were supposed to stay until tomorrow but with temperatures ranging up to 47C and a catastrophic fire warning, we came home this afternoon...
