Glen Nant

Set off earlyish after a further short mushroom and sloe hunt.

Glen Nant by Taynuilt is a very beautiful native oak and birch forest (much of the oak was previously coppiced to make charcoal for the nearby Bonawe Ironworks in the 18th century). Marvellous - nothing quite like a wet forest.

We also saw two separate red squirrels while driving, so a successful day overall.
