Birthday Flower
Flower shots in January - what a luxury!
Now, I took a shot of this, (one of the flowers from Cathy's birthday bouquet) and just assumed that she would know what it was. To my amazement she wasn't at all sure, so if any of you Blippers out there know, do say :-). Its a relatively small bloom, about 2.5cm across but rather lovely in its simplicity. It would be good to add to our (limited) stock of knowledge of these things.
I've focus merged a series of exposures in Affinity Photo to get this significant depth of field. Its interesting, because I don't think it actually flattens the image too much and I was wondering whether that might have been a side effect of the focus merge.
Its been a chore filled Saturday, which is no bad thing. Christmas decorations are stored carefully in the loft, bread has been baked, ironing done, and the motorbike given a quick (its quite cold) run to ensure that everything is still moving and lubricated. It being Saturday night, the Crown now beckons - we are stretching out Series 2 so as to not enjoy it too quickly :-)
