Queen Elizabeth II Bridge from Greenhithe
A typical Saturday involving travelling half the length of the country to watch Chester with a bit of geocaching and a CAMRA pub visit thrown in for good measure.
All in all a successful day as we found a handful of geocaches along the Thames at Greenhithe, where this photo was taken, followed by a pint in the George and Dragon pub in Swanscombe which proved to be very hospitable. Finally, and most importantly, off to watch Chester at Ebbsfleet United where, much to everyone's surprise, the Blues deservedly won 1-0 although the six minutes of injury time were hard to watch after what had happened last week.
Next Saturday we return down the M6 and M1 as Chester play East Thurrock which is only a few miles away on the other side of the River Thames. In between there is a match at AFC Fylde where we will be staying for a couple of nights. A lot of travel this week but at least it will be good for blips.
