Soaking up the afternoon sun....

It's been a wonderful Saturday. Sleeping in, spending 3 hours with my dad. (including watching a documentary) and taking a nice walk with my mom..

My dad was in his wheelchair watching football with the other patients in the living room when I got there. He was all smiles talking to anyone that would listen. We chatted for awhile and then I took him back to his room and we watched a movie.. He fell asleep before the ending but it was very nice to have such quality time with my dad... 

This afternoon my mom and I took a short walk on one of the Audubon trails around here. The only birds I saw was a crow, 4 mallards and a bufflehead.. but on the way out, in the parking lot of all places was this one heron all by itself, soaking up the afternoon sun...
