Every year Late on a winter day I visit this
Just as the light shifts into red the Rudston monolith seems to have a glow of it's own.
This is the tallest standing stone in Britain, and at least as old as the Pyramids, and possibly even older than that.
At the base of the stone you will still find corn Dollys and pagan symbols, the old gods may be gone, but they are not forgotten

Interestingly I have never seen any Graffitti on the stone, few dare to place a hand on it, apparently
