The writing's on the iron

The commune iron died after about six years of faithful service. So it was marked to make sure no-one tries to use it. Fortunately Mrs. Legodude and I have a brand new iron that was given to us as a wedding gift so that's now in service. How do you dispose of a faulty iron without it ending up as landfill? Had a blip in mind of a nearby building that's being demolished but I didn't have time in the end to go and snap it. So this will have to do today. I've spent so long on blip now my mint tea's gone cold lol.
