Mending the roof at the Vyne
The Vyne is aTudor property looked after by the National Trust. It dates back to the early 1500s an was visited by Henry 8th.
After some 500 years of weather the roof and chimneys needed restoration. The National Trust are undertaking the work and have encased the building in scaffolding and protective plastic sheeting. They included stairs and a lift so the public can view the progress, it is worth a visit. It should be completed by the Spring.
