The battle of Winder.

Today I went up Winder which is one of the Howgill fells and overlooks the town of Sedbergh where my Grandparents live. It's not very high but the direct ascent is very steep. Once up top you can easily walk on to other Howgill fells and there are some very good circular routes that take you over a few peaks then back down to Sedbergh or nearby. On this occasion I only did Winder as was limited for time, however I bought a packet of cheap plastic toy soldiers on an impulse whilst the town's new Spar supermarket and had much fun setting up staged battles to snap.
