Waiting

Engine off, waiting for the train to pass and the gates to open and the cars coming the other way to pass - they go first because they are queuing over a single-track bridge. Today I waited a wee bit longer because the driver at the front tried to cross the bridge when someone was coming the other way. The other driver was out of his car and waving his fist which led to our leader reversing by which time there was a queue coming towards us and the level-crossing closed behind us which meant no more movement and the traffic built up to cross the bridge before we could move. I was close enough to the front to see what was happening but behind me there were lots of angry drivers sounding their horns. Gosh it was fun!
