Red sky
Today it was still just about light at 4.15 as this blip shows. Pretty soon the nights will be lighter and warmer and a few regular plants will hoist themselves up through the soil to smile at the sun again.
Despite the light though, it was cold and when I went for a dog walk about an hour later the pavements were well and truly icy again. Having just returned from the latest walk it certainly has not improved and I'm not hopeful that the early one tomorrow will be any less hazardous to the surety of foot. The upside, of course, is that when it's this icy the dog's toes are easily rubbed clean with a baby wipe in seconds.
She certainly seems better today and has been treated to rice and mashed potato.
