The Valley of the Mills

Among the vegetation sits an old flour mill in use since the 900’s - abandoned after 1866 when Piazza Tasso was created which cut off the mill from the sea and increased the humidity. Anyone who visits Sorrento should check it out at night when it’s spookily illuminated.
It tragically claimed the life of a young English tourist in 2011 who decided to climb on the railings while inebriated and fell into the ravine.
