Friendly pig
He is B's boar for his two sows. A very friendly pig. The Duroc is known for its lack of aggression, originating in 1800 in New England, USA, it is said to have come over from Africa with the slave trade. Another train of thought is that its red colour originated from the Berkshire pig (now apparently black). Where ever his ancestors came from he is very welcome on our farm! I always think what kind eyes he has which some of his progeny also inherit.
