Curly seed heads

Another walk in my neighbourhood this afternoon. I had noticed these seed heads the other day, but the lighting wasn't right. This afternoon the sky was grey, but perfect to catch these colourful seeds. I like the way the big red-brown leaf echoed the same colour as the seeds. 

Winter can have very pretty details and colours when we take the time to seek them out.
