Past its best!

As it was very cold & my back was 'none too happy' ..... so we decided that a walk probably wouldn't be a good idea ..... the cold makes it worse.

So instead we had a drive out in the countryside ....... came across this delightful abode! Well it might have been delightful once upon a time! Thought it would be good for Derelict January ...... thanks to 60plus for hosting :-)

We also saw a Kestrel with its kill ..... it was sitting in a muddy field ....... I did try to get a photo of it ..... but it was quite far away & it blended into the mud too well ...... I suppose it was good cover for it to eat in peace .... just not good for photography!

As we were almost back home we spotted a pair of Barn Owls ....... they seem to have taken up residence in an old shed ....... we shall be going back there sometime to see if I can get some photos :-)
