Day 008/18. Do I let it flower?

I have always been fascinated by Venus Fly Traps. I have now nurtured one since August last summer. 5 months now without killing it. A personal best.
It has now thrown up what looks suspiciously like a flower shoot.....
So, a decision to make.....it's January and the middle of winter with little sun, albeit in a heated room.
It seems a strange time of year to decide to flower, so perhaps it is confused.
Some websites suggest I should clip it off and let the thing concentrate on leaf growth...... but a big part of me wants to leave it to see what happens. Hmmm..... decisions decisions....
