Luring them in

Last year we had loads of fallen apples in the garden which I laid out for the birds and managed to attract fieldfares, waxwings and redwings. Unfortunately, this year we didn't have such a glut and so I've actually had to go out and purchase some for the job. Noticed a few fieldfares around the village but didn't lure any into the garden so far. Patience.
