The Deerhunter
Having had a couple of interrupted nights sleep, both crashed out just after midnight and slept in until after 9am this morning, how good is that :-)
We had already decided where to go for a day out, Dunham Massey was our choice, the idea being to snap some deer hopefully.
We walked around the whole perimeter initially and spied a few deer in the distance. It was surprisingly busy, lots of young mums with rosy cheeked tots wrapped up against the cold air, but the brilliant sunshine made for a great day to be outdoors!
We had lunch in the Stables restaurant, we shared egg and cress and tuna and cucumber sandwiches and half an ecclescake, with capuccinos of course, all very nice.
Then we were off to walk a circuit of their gardens, just a few snopdrops and some daffodils showing their heads, but not in bloom just yet!
We decided to walk back to where we saw the deer earlier, and as you can see we got lucky. This young fellow laid there, very relaxed; we almost missed him, as he was slightly camouflaged by the huge tree trunk behind him......once we walked a little closer he came into view thankfully :-)
I have added 3 extras, one of the House, a little white deer...which I love, as, for me, it has a fairytale like feel, but not the sharpest :-( and finally a view down one of the long paths.
