Classically Dead
We have one residual non-LED set of Christmas lights which, as tradition has it, loses a few bulbs each year for no obvious reason other than they can't be bothered to get up after hibernating for 11 months.
This string is getting gradually shorter as I use up working bulbs from one section to maintain the other sections, as it make no sense to buy replacement bulbs any more. So it got a little shorter today as I thought I may as well put it away working.
Yes, it would be more sensible to just buy another LED set, but there's something nostalgic about the annual cursing of the Christmas light bulbs.
