We went up to Skye on Hogmanay and the weather wasn’t great in the central belt. Now that the third Forth Crossing is a motorway the speed limit is 70. Today we had the rather bizarre experience of being buffeted by the wind either side of the bridge when allowed to go at 70, whereas the baffling on the bridge did its job and the speed limit was 40; an unnecessary throwback to the old bridge. The blip is the M90 as we went north; I had hoped for sunny breaks further north but they never came so this blip, taken by S, has to be the last of 2017.
