Ice hunters

Early this morning these two eagles were hunting the ruddy ducks in the only spot of open water in the hollow. The river is frozen as far as I could see from the porch. It's been bitter cold but we are expecting a warm up for the next few days. Dr. appointments all day today and one for my mother tomorrow. After that I hope to put away the Christmas decorations!
