Surabaya

Today we arrived at Surabaya, another port city of course and the capital of East Java.  we did not have an organised tour, but instead hired a taxi for 3 hours to take us on a tour of the city.  We visited the Sampoerna Cigarette factory, were given a tour of the beautiful Edwardian built Majapahit Hotel, visited yet another temple and finished with a walk in one of the little markets in the Arab quarter, carefully accompanied by our excellent driver.
I took many photos today, but this shot of the market, gives more of a flavour of this lovely city:
