More traffic cones

Before Christmas our street was dug up so 'high speed broadband cables' could be installed. Today we found the street lined with cones again and another trench being dug. As we made our way towards work the next street was also partially lined with cones.
Wouldn't it be great if the jobs could all be completed at the same time?
Silly me, that will never happen.
