They are back!

Our wee family of long eared owls have been absent for a year but made their surprise return today.  This is the youngster, who seemed very bemused by the strange creatures taking photographs of it.

The heat continues but this evening the wind started to blow and blow it did.  I went out for a dook before bedtime and there were waves!  Needless to say it was also covered in leaves etc but that gave Shiv something to try to catch instead of trying to rescue me.

Rain is forecast for tomorrow, hopefully it will materialise.
