Song Sparrow

Although there was a layer of ice on the sidewalks this morning and school openings were delayed, predictions for above freezing weather was all it took for me and Suzanne to get out with our cameras.  It was a pleasure to stroll around a local bird-watching area to look for anything that moved.  We saw a herd of deer in the distance, and several of the usual bird species.  I thought this little Song Sparrow was sweet, sitting for us and showing off his distinctive spot.  It was terrific to get out in the fresh air.
